Bogota 31 July 2017 –  The process of extracting the armament, handed over by the FARC-EP, which has been stored in the camps, as well as that collected from the weapons caches began today.

The first place in which this activity began was in the PTN of Monterredondo, in the Department of Cauca.  In this Point of Normalisation, the entirety of the armament has been extracted.   Likewise, a similar operation in the ZVTN of Betania, in the Department of Nariño, is underway

The next extraction operations will be reported upon, after the fact, due to the security requirements of, not only of the zones in which the operations are taking place, but also of the teams that are taking part in the activities.

The operations of the UN Mission to extract the armaments will continue until the 15^th of August.

The Mission reiterates its total commitment to completing the extraction operations within the specified timeframe.
