UN Mission in Colombia Press Statement on the behaviour of two international observers in FARC-EP Pre Grouping Points

Bogota – A few media outlets published a video yesterday showing two international observers of the UN Mission in Colombia dancing at a Temporary Pre-Grouping Point of the FARC-EP on December 31.

This behaviour is inappropriate and does not reflect the values of professionalism and impartiality of the UN Mission. The UN Mission in Colombia will take appropriate action.

The UN Mission in Colombia reiterates its full commitment to an objective and rigorous verification of the Agreement on Bilateral Ceasefire and Cessation of Hostilities and Laying Down of Weapons.
