The United Nations Mission in Colombia completed its Security Council mandate on 26 September 2017. The United Nations continues to provide support to the peace process through the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia, established by Security Council resolution 2377 (2017).
22 Sep 2017 - Bogota, 22 September 2017. The United Nations Mission in Colombia informs that, in accordance with the Peace Agreement between the Government of Colombia and the FARC-EP, the activities related to the laying down of weapons from the FARC-EP have finalized.

15 Sep 2017 - Bogotá, 15 September 2017. The United Nations Mission in Colombia informs that it its operations to clear weapons and destroy ammunition and unstable material from FARC-EP arms caches have been completed, in keeping with the roadmap established by the parties in their joint communique 19 of 29 May and its subsequent adjustment providing for an extension of operations on August 31.
